Hello, I have a 10 week old female Rotti. We have been crate training her and trying to train her to be obedient and social.. We have only had her a couple of weeks, but Dixie seems to be adjusting well. We also have a 7 year old Male Sheltie (Bo). We thought that it would be good for Dixie to socialize with other dogs. Dixie and Bo generally have fun together outside, although Dixie wants to Bite Bo's tail and make him yelp......We always Supervise the dogs when they are outside together. Any input advise would be helpful..Thanks

Definitely get her signed up for a puppy k class. You might be surprised at her reaction when you take her in for the first class. Although she's around Bo, if she's not around a lot of other dogs or people, she might be a little shy.

The class also acts like a support group of sorts for the humans when it comes to surviving puppyhood. Also, make sure you have some one-on-one time with just her so she bonds with you and looks to you for guidance, not Bo. Puppy k will help in this area too.

I have 2 other dogs besides Gypsy and puppy class was great, even though she played well here I wanted her to meet other dogs, so we met them at class and family members, from big to small, she is now 5months and had her 1st obedience class today Good luck and enjoy your puppy
