| We got Lexi at 6 weeks old and we love her to death. Boy oh boy is she growing fast. When we first got her home she was the usual going potty everywhere not knowing what the heck happened. She caught on real quick and stopped whinning after the 3rd or 4th night when we went to bed. She loves to play with all her toys but especially our hands. If she is in the mood to play she'll always try for our hands over her toys. Its not really rough playing, although can when she gets really excited, but its that she just wont stop no matter what we do. If we put a toy in her mouth she plays for a second then drops it and wants our hand again. we've tried telling no bite, taping her mouth and saying no bite, holding her mouth shut until she calms down, pretty much everything i've read on doing we've tried. The techniques work for a very short while then its like she forgot them and she think its playing. How do prevent her from thinking our hands are chew toys???? I would also like to know about playing. What is the proper way to play with her so she doesn't grow up to be a dominate dog? Potty traing- For a while she was doing really well with going outside and now its back to going everywhere. She will pee in a small spot just a couple drops and we bring her outside and she just goes and lays down or plays. How do get her to get the idea of outside is where you go and when to start expecting that she should know? like what age is no longer appropriate for accidents? I've been seeing a lot on how you should never dicipline a puppy. Well what is appropriate and inappropriate dicipline they never say?? When is a good age to start obedience training? Sorry for the short story of questions. I just want the best for my lil girl and want to enjoy being with her and not always have to get her to stop biting or going potty in the house. seems like that is all we are doing instead of having loving playful times together. P.S. She is 3/4 rott and 1/4 black lab |

| Re: 10 week old pup With the biting she is young still, Gypsy has her moments with the kids and biting but redirecting worked great, she really likes her kongs filled with hot dogs and cheese Do you have her enrolled in puppy class? if not thats where you should start after that then do obedience, Gypsy had puppy class and is starting obedience next week she will be 5 months. Gypsy to did the little potty then stop she had a UTI antibiotics cleared it up. As far as games you can play tug just make sure you start and end the game, fetch is great even though GYpsy only plays with a few squeaky balls, we have played hide and seek and that was fun, also socceer and frisbie, read up on the forums you will find lots of information, also the tapping when biting IMO isnt a good idea I think it makes the dog think its a game and makes them want to nip more make sure you find her chew toys that she likes, not all my dogs like certain toys, beef bones and kongs are their favorites Good Luck and hope to see pictures soon
