pup has heart murmur

My Khori's heart murmur didn't show up til after he was 16 months old. It was faint at first and then got stronger, so I had the Doppler ($150) with a heart specialist and it showed that he has a leaky heart valve. She said that it was mild and nothing special has to change with his activity or diet. We go back in the next year to 2 years to have it rechecked. I paid so much money for him for a conformation dog and her stock does have all of those health clearances. The breeder will not respond to me after I told them that he had a heart murmur. Well, I sent them the findings from the vet and told them that it is posted on the OFA website. So hopefully someone will see that and not buy from them.

when we got our first rottie xena is was from a pet shop stupid i know we only went to have a lot and couldnt leave her behind fell in love straifght away she also had a slight heart murmur and they told us this but we still wanted her she had vet paper work and we got the kc papers after as they are not the breeder they couldnt give it to us the breeder had to send it to us well she is now 18mths and has no murmur she grew out of it that was when she was 12weeks old well she is fine healthy and still going strong
