slowing down growth question

my husband posted a question about our dog maybe having pano. I was wondering what type of food should i swicth him to. It sounds like i should get him off puppy. Not for sure. Should i put him on adult large breed or just adult food. We switched to nutro ultra puppy food months ago.

I am totally confused on which food to switch him on. any help on this would be greatly appriecated.

Do a search on the nutrition forum for lots of information on the best premium dog foods. I weaned Rocco onto adult food between 5-6 months of age at the instruction of his breeder and have seen that others have done this, as well. Personally, I've used Nutro, then Canidae, then Natural Balance, and now Nutro Ultra, which I'm very pleased with.

My pup had pano at about a year old. He was just growing too fast. Pano seems to wonder from limb to limb. He would limp on his right leg and later, it would be his left leg. Rotty's grow really fast up until about 9 months. usually around 10 pounds per month average. When I found out my dog had pano, I switched to a lower protein food. I was feeding 30% protein and now I feed 26% protein. He is over the Pano. He is now a 120LBs at 17 months ...and a big lap dog.

I had to switch duggans food at 6 months old because duggan was growing way to fast...he was eating large breed puppy than large breed adult now he eats nutrisource
