when should baby teeth loss be complete

sampson is about 6 months now and except for his incissors(spelled wrong) he still has baby teeth.

the canines are still babys as are all the rest. It seems like he should have lost them by now. I know they are a slow maturing breed. maybe mine is on the slow side. any input would be appreciated! thanks

Re: when should baby teeth loss be complete

Oskar lost all his baby teeth by the time he was a little over 5 months. The canines were the last to go and he had his adult canines a few days after. He is 6 months now and has a full set of big shiny teeth!

That time frame sounds about right. Satchmo lost his earlier than 5 months, but like kids, it is individual.

Re: when should baby teeth loss be complete

by 6 months, puppies should have changed their teeth.some may take up to 7 months to fully grow out their permanents.
if you have baby teeth and no signs of adults or both adult and baby teeth by 7 months with no signs of losening, have your vet evaluate him.

Re: when should baby teeth loss be complete

Kaleb is 5 1/2 months old and has just about lost all his baby teeth. He still has his canines, but the new set is already partially in. When he was at the vets getting weighed last week I had the vet look at his teeth and he wasn't concerned about them yet. Hopefully he will lose them soon

Re: when should baby teeth loss be complete

Kodi just finished losing his - he is just 6 months and his incissors were last to go as well - but they are all in now, nice and shiny. I also actually found 3 of the baby teeth when they fell out and I was tickled pink - I have a back molar, a side one and one of his incissors lol
