| Re: Best Puppy/Adult Food I use Canidae All Stage food. Puppy loves it, and worth the $$ in my opinion. Coat is better than with the Nutro, and seems to enjoy the food. Some dogs/puppies might not like it. Innova, California Natural, and Canidae seem to be good foods. |

| Re: Best Puppy/Adult Food Have been feeding my 9 week old puppy Eukenuba now for 2 weeks. I also have a 15 year old dog at home aswell. The older dog has ate some eukenuba and she likes it. I have noticed that she sceems to be alot livlier for a dog of 15 years. She would usually be very quite..... My puppy is VERY hyper, and now im thinking is it the food im feeding her. Does anyone know if it is something to do with this dog food. Im thinking of changing the food?? |

| Re: Best Puppy/Adult Food Sharman, The 15 year old is most likely livelier in the new presense of a puppy! I'm not sure what foods are available in Ireland, but if you want to list some that you see in the stores (try to go to a specialty pet-store) and maybe we can help you decide. Usually you can find better food, for the same cost of Eukanuba.

| Re: Best Puppy/Adult Food I've been using Wellness (its organic). My ten week old loves it and a friend of mine has a pup and even though its not a rott, it was very allergic and this organic food has really helped. I think you can look at the wellness website. |

Now what I THINK of Wellness, has nothing to do with it being organic or not.

| Re: Best Puppy/Adult Food None of the ingredients in any of Wellness products are organic. Wellness does not claim they have foods that are even "made with organic ingredients". You don't have to have organic ingredients to be a good qulity food either. The top brands don't claim any of it to be organic. I think you can buy better food, and be cheaper to feed. I don't like that it has menadione (synthetic form of vitamin K that is toxic to the liver), and they try to hide this fact in the description of their ingredients, and have no plans in removing it from their food. Their adult food is a tad too low in protein, fat percentages and caloric content, IMO. They ranted and raved that baking is better, maintains nutrients, but recently switched to extrusion and many dogs are now having problems on a food they may have once done well on. I also don't understand how a fish formula can only have 1.1% omega 3 - must be the kind of fish "whitefish" may not contain much omega 3? not sure. Wishy washy marketing strategies, makes for a product and company I don't trust. They make claims one day, and do the opposite the next. You asked.
