| fur Color Today when i was stroking KoDa's Head,i have noticed that on the top part of the head when you stroke it,you see a rust color beneath the black fur..is this normal for a 20 week old pup..is the rust color always gonna be there... |

| Re: fur Color Oskar has the same thing. He also has a lighter colour around the back of his neck, where his collar sits. You can only see it when the fur is parted. He is 22 weeks so I don't know if it will stay that way.....his mom is 1 year old and she has it too. |

| Re: fur Color At 20 weeks, he will probably always have it. Mine has some rust on his ears and his undercoat shows through around his neck, which I attribute to him being a backyard breeder baby. But he is perfect to me!

| Re: fur Color I've heard this is normal on rott's but I don't think it goes away. I've read on other posts on this forum that rott's have one of 3 different underlying coats, black, brown (rust) or white/gray. My girl is 22 weeks she has the rust by her ears as well and her undercoat is pretty much all gray & she also has a little gray around her collar and shoulder, but as I say its her character & what makes her special. |
