| Re: pup too clingy?? It sounds as if you have a good case of separation anxiety going on. Do a search on the forum here (and you can also search on Google for canine separation anxiety) and it will give you lots of good ideas to work through this. This is not a fun situation for a dog so we all suggest you get to work on it as soon as possible before she gets much older.
Do you have a crate? You need to crate train her so that you can leave her in the crate at times when you are home and not at home. She needs to learn that even though she is not with you, you will be coming back for her.
Separation anxiety is NOT fun for a dog. It can lead them to many frustrating habits, tearing up things, going through windows, etc. Please research it and get started on getting her through this. It may take awhile, don't think it is a behavior that can correct itself in a week, it may take months.
The other thing you should be doing to having her in obedience classes. That will help to build her confidence and prove to her that she can do things on her own.
