8wk puppy....Aggression?

Hello, my name is Heidi and I just recently (5 days ago) brought home an 8 week old Rotty, named Ikaika. She is absolutely adorable and full of energy. We are crate training her and that seems to be going well. I only need to get up once in the night to take her potty. I've got her on a schedule already and with patience and supervision, I am happy to say we've only had a few accidents. I am new to the forum and have found this site to be very informative and helpful. So far, all of my questions have been answered here except for one.
I walk her on the leash in our backyard for excercise and to become accustomed to her new home. When I do this she continually cuts me off, nipping at my feet or pants or pulls on the lead. I also leash her inside the house with me wherever I go, and she gets very agitated at the leash being on. I am able to distract her with a toy but not for very long. Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

This is totally normal puppy behavior, don't sweat it. Keep trying to redirect, and remember that the more you move and become agitated, the more aroused she will become.

My pup was a total landshark at this age, but he got markedly better around 12.5 weeks. He's about 5 months old now, and the biting has been almost completely extinguinshed. The only times he gets riled up now are when he first comes out of his crate after a few hours and needs to get some exercise!
