Puppy Diarrhea

I have a litter of 10 day old puppies with diarrhea. I've been giving them plain yogurt 3 times per day and was starting to notice an improvement in their stool so I started to give 2 x per day but I noticed today we seem to be going backwards again. They are thriving, active and gaining weight but I'd like to get this under control.

Has anyone got any suggestions on another alternative where I might see quicker results?

What is the mother of the puppies being fed? Is her diet changed at all while she is nursing the pups? Remember, what she eats is what the pups get from her milk and maybe there is something there that is causing this.

Was the dam of the litter wormed prior to being bred?

Pups can dehydrate very quickly, so watch out that you don't need to get them extra pedialyte to keep them hydrated.

The yogurt is a good idea, but there may be something else underlying the problem.

Yes the Dam and my other dogs were all de-wormed prior to this litter being born. We've taken all the necesary precautions to ensure the whelping area is well sanitized and I keep a close eye on Mom when taking her outside to relieve herself, so as not to be picking something up.

No her diet hasn't changed. They do however really gorge (they are quite large for their age). My Vet and fellow breeder felt this probably had alot to do with the diarrhea.
