| natural food hi, I've been feeding my puppy Pedigree & Pro Pac. The breeder told me that it's a good idea to give them cooked food. I've also read that giving them food which was naturally occurring in the region where they originated is a good idea. In the case of rottweilers that would be [germany/italy] & imply a carb rich diet. Am I on the right track? Is anybody actually making their dog food? thanks!! |

| Re: natural food There are a many of us who feed their Rottweilers BARF which entails raw meats, veggies & bones. Just as many feed a good quality kibble. Don't know of too many who cook their dogs food unless it is a necessity due to "health" issues. Every dog is different and you will best serve your dog by doing the research, do a search on this forum, then decide on what you would like to feed. With anything, please make sure that your dog does not become overweight, there are TOO many rottweilers who are overweight. This shortens their lifespan & causes many other health issues. |
