Oscar is 5 m/o as well and he gets them often. He gets them #1. if he eats too fast and #2. if he gets told "no" or gets in "trouble"...it's almost like a nervous hiccup. His whole body shakes from them, it's pretty funny.

My rottie had hiccup 2-5 times a day when he was under 5 months old, I thought something was wrong with him but my vet told me it was normal. Now he is 5 and half months old and hasnīt had a hiccup for a month now. Donīt worry! Freyja and Susti.

My Pup is 7 mos. old and once in awhile gets the hiccups. They eventually stop. Now he is interested in mounting my 2 1/2 yr. old Bernese Mtn. Dog, shes been spayed and my daughter said shes going to need to go into therapy because "Amos" is so fresh to her. I just let him out by himself. Shes smart, she waits till he comes in and then goes out. They are too funny.

Re: Hiccups

Tara is 16 weeks old and she gets 'turbo hiccups'! I can't seem to find a corellation between any certain activity and the hiccups, but it sure is amusing to hear. She will hiccup every second, about 20-30 times, and then it is over. This happens about once a day, and my vet says that she is completely healthy, so I don't worry.

Re: Hiccups

Hiccups happen , for sure...some are pretty uncomfortable..SO...you can massage the pups chest in circles (slowly) and it will help relieve the hiccups.
