How much should I feed my Pup

I've done a search and looked up food and most people are feeding their puppys 2.5 to 3 cups a day. I have a 4 month old female and I'm feeding her 4 cups a day it's Eukauba Large breed formula. She would eat more if I let her. I haven't seen anyone say wether it's an ok brand? Raven seems to like it. Last she was at the vet she was 30 lbs. That was about a week and a 1/2 ago.

Well Oscar is 3 mo (12 weeks) and he eats about 3-1/2 to 4 cups per day of Nutro Natural Large Breed puppy food. I split it up between a breakfast and a dinner feeding. 2 weeks ago he weighed in at 21 lbs. and he's probably gained another 5 since. He would eat more if I gave it to him as well but I don't want to over feed him. I do give him little extras a couple times a week (raw egg cracked over his food, 1/2 can salmon with bones/skin etc). So I think at 30++ lbs. and 4 cups you could probably up her food intake by a bit. What is the recommended feeding by weight on the bag?

I should've also added that apparently with superior quality foods (more so then Nutro or Eukanuba), dogs will eat less as they're higher in caloric intake. Once Oscar is finished his first bag of Nutro we are contemplating changing him to Canidae. I have no complaints about the Nutro Natural though, he has a beautiful coat on it. How do you find the Eukanuba with your pups coat? My friend had a Rotti on it and had to take him off because he got really dry skin from it?

Raven's coat is beautiful...Very shiny. I just was at the vet and she is telling me I should be feeding Raven 4-6 cups a day. Split up of course... Untill she is about 7 months old. In a week and a 1/2 she gained 4.5 lbs.

Yes they definetely grow FAST! haha! Apparently you can expect a weight gain of 10lbs. per month. Judging on how fast Oscar's growing, I believe it.

I can't believe how big she's getting. It's amazing. This is the first time I'm owning a dog from puppy hood so this is blowing my mind. This breed is amazing. I wish they didn't have a bad rap. Raven makes me so happy to see her. She was the best thing I've done in a while.

Mook eats 2.25 cups total a day of Innova Adult. He's five monthes old, and weighs sixty pounds. If I think of it, I give him a raw egg cracked over his breakfast, shell and all for no reason except that he likes it.

No, Innova is very rich...he gained around 12# in the last month. He thrives on it, and looks perfect...lean, shiny, super active.

I currently feed my pup 2 cups per day of Canidae.. The vet tells me I should let him eat all he wants.. However, the instructions on the bag say to feed a dog of his weight 2 cups per day... I went with the bag !!!

Any thoughts ?

How old is your pup, and what does it weigh? I would go with the bag...I know Mook would eat himself well beyond being full if I would let him, and our older dog was also eating wey more than he needed when we first started feeding Innova. And I think Canidae is even more dense than Innova...feed according to a combination of how the dog looks, and manufacturers recommendations.

So you all convinced me to switch Raven's dog food. I went and bought Canidae yesterday. Man, was that stuff hard to find in my area. I had to call a lot of places. So I'm giving it a shot. Started yesterday at her second feeding. She seems to like it. I also gave some to my mom's dog. She's old. She has a lot of stomach problems, and joint issues. So I'm hoping it helps. I guess I'll see in a week or so.
Thanks again for everyones advice..

Diesel is 15 wks old, he just weighed in at 32 pounds. I too am feeding him Canidae, he currently is getting 3 cups per day. I was looking on the bag, 25-50 pounds they say feed 2-4 cups a day. Increase his food as his weight increases?? Does anyone feed their pup more than 3 cups a day? Guess I am a little confused on this. Help anyone....
