Losing baby teeth

Well Kasper seems to have gone through the teething process, all of his big teeth are through now.

My question is: How long should I wait for his two baby canines (fangs) to drop out? His big teeth are well through now , but his baby ones are still there next to them.

He is 6 months old

Thanks
Carol

Excellent question. We noticed Arwens front teeth were all missing one morning!!! We never even noticed them, and then all of a sudden, toothless! They were back about 2 days after we noticed them gone, but then the other day when playing tug she lost one (which I kept because I am a dork and shes my baby). Is there anywhere I can get a good picture of what her teeth SHOULD look like when there all there? I am a little worried because she has large gaps between her back teeth and the "fangs" or... K9's? I am not sure what to call them on dogs. She doesn't seem to notice them missing though, and BOY do they come back fast!!

Sometimes dogs will retain the baby teeth. This happens more often with small dogs, but it does occur with larger dogs as well. Try playing tug with him and see if they don't come out on their own. If they don't they will need to be removed while he is under anesthetic, during the neuter is a good time.

Nice information Sabellesmom..........Thanks.

Kaspers baby teeth are not in front or behind though they are side by side with his big ones.
Funnily enough after wondering about this for a day or two now, one of his baby teeth came out this morning during a tug fest!

Thank you so much for thoes pictures! I work worried the gaps she has are not normal. I pictured them as being perfect when closed like a shark or whales teeth, no air space. That helped put me at ease, as a new mom I am always afraid shes broken, and I really want my girl to be as good as she and I can make her.
