Congratulations! I love puppies =) Their a lot of work the first few months, but the rewards are priceless.

Give it a few days, the pup is missing his littermates and the security of mom. How old is your pup? Spend the next few days bonding with the pup, gaining it's trust. Once the puppy becomes more confortable with its new surroundings, you'll be back on this board asking how to calm the puppy zoomies! They do sleep a lot, poop a lot, pee a lot.

He is 7 weeks old and he only eats out of my hand when I went to the breeder I sat with the puppies to see thier behavior and the one I choose was not fighting like the other puppies but was more interested in me the others came to me then started to fight again the one I choose laid down and looked at the fights I guess i'm not use to this behavior my other dogs that I had at a younger age never acted this way

First thing for any new pup is a vet visit. That will let you know whether he is quiet because that is he nature or whether he might be ill. (ask for a good heart listen). Also, he just might be exhausted from all the "new"

I agree with Judi, a vet visit would be the first thing I would do.
It seems to me you may have not chosen a great breeder if she was letting you pick out your own pup.

Most breeders also have in their contracts that you take the new pup to your own vet within 48 hrs of purchase. You did sign a contract???

Fingers crossed that he is healthy and just overwhelmed by the changes in his life.

Glad to hear things are good and normal! I still remember all that crazy puppy worries. It felt like yesterday I brought my little Vegas home, he was the same way for a few days, even found him snuggling up to my mirror closet doors. Probably thought his reflection was a litter mate, awwwwwwww.
