Puppy Zoomies!

Last night we had a MAJOR zoomie attack!

It has been 2 or 3 months since he had them as bad. I forgot just how much energy a puppy can have built up inside. He has been such a mellow 10 month old boy. But last night!

Pick up your feet and get out of his way because he was running in butt tucked circles, in his crate, out, grab a toy, run to you, fast, faster, FASTER! At 90 pounds I'm glad he has largely grown out of them, because, I'm not sure if our house ((or me)) can take to many cases of BIG puppy zommies.

We were laughing so hard! I miss our little puppy even though I love our little man...

Zoomies are soooo much fun, I miss those days as well

Although, I had Raelin out in the back yard on Moday morn, and she did about 5 laps around the yard, full tilt. Boy can she ever move!!!

Boy I sure can relate. My 9 1/2 month 95 pounder loves his zoomie attacks... We try to keep them to the outside for eveyones saftey. They have even become part of his daily routine. At 8:30 he will flop in front of me with his chin to the ground and but in the air. I then know it ZOOMIE time........ He is so funny he likes me to chase him in circles around the trees just staying out of my reach. It is real fun he is so big and strong know that I join in and really try to get him....Boy he has gotten fast. He loves and he gets great exercise. 5 min of running in circles one large dump and he is out for the night...
Good luck thanks for the laugh

hehehehehe....that post made me LOL!!! We call your "Zoomies" the "rips"...Ms. Yogi decided it would be all kinds of fun to roll in nice wet sloppy poop while on her morning walk yesterday to her mothers dismay - YUK! We had to return to the house immediately for a full fledge bath (it looked like someone frosted her in poop!) after her bath I was VERY late for work and while I was showering (and being mad at her) she had the rips - it sounded like a hear of wild buffalo - she was zooming down the hallway onto the bed off the bed into her crate into the spare room and back at full force - after 3 minutes it finally softened me and I laughed to myself! I got out of the shower and she was laying on her bed like an angel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give me break!!!

Akasha and Keil will be 3 in October and still have the zoomies on a regular basis. Akasha is the worst right after a bath. She races thru the house slipping and sliding everywhere. We have a show Saturday, so I will be bathing her after class tonight and I know that I better make sure everything is outta the way when she gets out of the tub...........it sure is entertaining

LOL

Last night we had our first "zoomie".

Jake was just tearing around here, and I finally took him outside and he ran and ran and ran. I have forgotten how much fun the zoomies are! Haven't had a puppy in such a long time.

After he was done, he went into his crate without a peep and slept hard for 6 hours.

I am so glad to hear this!! Joy gets the zoomies every day too...many times a day...and we love it! Maybe it's because Silver had such bad joints she never had the zoomies...so we especially love Joy's zoomies! And, she can go into zoomies with the flash of an eye...we stalk each other (I know not a good doggie behavior) and just before collison...the zoomies start! And, in the forests and fields we walk...the zoomies can encompass huge hurdles and 1/4 mile loops! I just love watching her have such fun!

Ben still gets the zoomies - he's six years old.

Baron gets the zoomies much more than Ben though...Ben often gets the 'chase zoomies' - chasing Baron around the house or yard...

Cracks me up to see them tearing around with such joy in their faces...of course, I try to stay safely out of the way - I've been taken down by Ben twice...the second time I bruised my tailbone...OUCH!

Hannah will be 3 in June and she would have a case of the zoomies daily. We've had to take it easy after cruiciate surgery which is hard because you can get her going with just a silly look on your face.

Sometimes she comes up to you and you just know if you look at her she'll tear off.

Such a cute story . . . we call "zoomies" Arwen's "spaz mode" . . . she did it the other day after a big brush out . . . there was a breeze blowing and funneling her hair (boy is she blowing her coat something awful) and she would leap and try to catch some fluff, and then take off in that all out dog gallop complete with puppy hops, only to finish at our feet so we could brush her more and make more "rottweiler bunnies".

Guerin gets the zoomies every time he poops. We hear the BANG of the pet door when he ZOOMS inside AFTER zooming around the yard. And we stay out of the WAY!
