Re: Please help with puppy biting

Hello and welcome to the forum!

First, your puppy is VERY young. Too young, really, to be away from his mother and littermates. Because of this, he will miss out on much of the bite inhibition learning he would otherwise receive.

Second, what you see is normal. I would recommend that you search the internet for "Ian Dunbar, After You Get Your Puppy." It used to be available as a free download. It talks about teaching bite inhibition.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt response. I will download recommended ebook. Just one more question -- this habit of pup may create problem in future when he grew up or not? Hope to get fast reply. Thanks,

Re: Please help with puppy biting

No, all puppies bite. With training and maturity, and when their new teeth come in, the biting stops.
Read all of the threads that are stickies in the Puppy Development forum. All of your questions will be answered.
