bitting/jumping

I also have a 10 week old pup that is always trying to bite. At times she is very loveable and wants to be right on my feet, but other times I am unable to walk with out being jumped on and or bit. I to am also at a loss on what to do and am in the process of finding a prof trainer-anyone know of a good trainer in Manteca, Ca? Always open to any suggestions/advise-please.. This is the third rott that I have owed she is so differnt from the other two I had(both previos roots had hip dysplasia-maybe thats why?)

Re: bitting/jumping

Hello,

Sounds like a puppy being a puppy :) Just take a look at the stickies in this section, they cover biting etc. You can also do a search for puppy biting or puppy jumping, I have no doubt these questions have been asked before.

Sry to hear of the HD in your previous 2, but I wouldn't say that your 10 week old is out of the woods yet... not to alarm you. Where have you purchased your dogs/puppy from?

Re: bitting/jumping

My two previous Rotts were unfortunatley purchased from very bad back yard breeders. I bought my first Rott then a friend gave me the second one I had. After these experiences and lots of research I bought my new puppy from a breeder that has been raising Rotts for more then 15 years. I have no plans on breeding my new puppy I just wanted to have a healthy pet that I can hopefully enjoy for more then the 7 years that I had with my last one. I will continue to seek advise and ideas from this site-so far I have been impressed. Thank-you for your advise.
