Talking Biting

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this.....I have a 3 month old German rottie that I have only had for about 3 weeks. I am having a problem with him wanting to bite everyone that tries to pet him. He's just playing, but I want to get him out of this before he gets too big to handle. I've had an American before, but I didn't ever have this problem with him. Any suggestions?

Re: Biting

Crouch down to the level of the pup, lift it up by holding it under the body behind the fore legs , it's hind legs still on the ground and tell it firmly "No!" whenever it try's to bite. DON'T shake the pup at all, don't shout, dogs have very acute hearing, just calmly but firmly say no...Do this EVERY time the pup bites or attempts to bite. Be consistent....consistency is the key.
