| Stinky backside Hi guys, i just wanted to know, why does titan have a such a stinky backside. I mean really bad. I have been feeding him diamond dog food puppy brand for a couple of weeks. I know that this brand is pretty good cause i used to feed it to my other rotty nico. But nico was an outside dog so i quess i never had the chance to smell his gas. But titan is a 13 week old rotty and he is an inside rotty. Now since i changed from eagle pak to diamond we have noticed that he really has a stinky butt :) is there any other brand out there that will minimize this small problem. His coat is great and he is very healty according to the vet. Is this normal? Any idea guys will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. God bless. |

| Re: Stinky backside Quote:
Here are the ingredients: Chicken by-product meal, whole grain ground corn, wheat flour, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), beet pulp, egg product, flaxseed, natural chicken flavor, salmon oil (source of DHA), fish meal, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, vitamin E supplement, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, thiamine mononitrate, manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, ascorbic acid, vitamin A supplement, biotin, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin, vitamin D supplement, folic acid. Chicken by product meal, means mostly feet and beaks, things which are not easily digested. Whole grain ground corn, nobody should feed their dog anything with corn. Wheat flour, a high allergy ingredient which should not be in pet food either. These first three ingredients tell me enough, it's a crappy food and I am not surprised your dog has bad gas. Do lots of reading here on nutrition, search former topics and you will find out some good brands of food to use. Just to toss out a few options here: California Natural, Orijen Large breed puppy, Wellness, Healthwise. Stick around and learn, it's amazing what you will find out about pet foods. Sharon |
