| Re: Real potent smell Yes, shes free of the odor now but im not sure if it was comming frm her ear as the vet suggested a possible yeast infection though i never heard about it in an ear before or if its cause shes comming out of her heat cycle but the scent has dissapated. |

| Re: Real potent smell My dog gets the summer stink I call it. She rolls in the grass all the time. Right now her spot is in the mess of crab apples that have fallen from their tree. I wash her with a shampoo with baking soda or I have another that has the tea tree oil in it. Both are very mild and all natural shampoos. She doesn't have dandruff, not itchy and her ears are not smelly. She is shedding now, so wetting her down, sometimes using a creme rinse, toweling her off, then using a curry brush and her bristle brush do wonders. I have known the anal glad problem. P-U! Some diets produce a bad smell from the skin. So perhaps a change in diet is what she needs for your sake. Wash her bedding often. At least once a week. I find she's more stinky in the summer. Winter is really no problem. Mybe it's a summer thing. Good luck! :) |
