| Re: Pumpkin.....how much? BM, where exactly are you getting your info that pumpkin is a bad or even thing or even something to avoid? My word from a few pretty great breeders - a few of whom are on this site - is that pumpkin is the way to go for an occasional soft stool problem. I'd appreciate your feedback if you have info that this isn't accurate. Thanks, Tom |

I have gotten my info from many, many sources. I would suggest you do some research of your own instead of relying on breeders from this site or any other regardless of if they are great or not. An occasional loose stool is not a problem. A few mushy stools after a kibble switch may be inconvenient for waste removal but really is not that big of a deal. |

| Re: Pumpkin.....how much? Nature isn't always kind. If someone chooses to take a harmless caution to help a "natural" situation, I see no reason to come down on them for it. |

Clearly, you don't like my noninterventionist suggestion that the OP consider letting his healthy puppy's right itself. You offered your own suggestion. We need to leave it at that. |

| Re: Pumpkin.....how much? Unnecessarily "medicating" with actual medication (even OTC stuff like Kao or Pepto) might be one thing, but adding a bit of a pretty neutral food item to help things along a little seems perfectly fine to me.
