switching from Canidae- options for a "senior" dog?

I'm thinking of switching Amber from Canidae & was curious about good options. I'm currently looking at California Natural but was afraid that it was too high calorie/high protein for her. Amber's around 7 or 8 & very much the couch potato. She's very trim, not a bit overweight. She currently gets 1c of Canidae 2x per day & weighs 75 lbs.

Any good foods for a mature gal?

Thanks in advance,

Nina

Re: switching from Canidae- options for a "senior" dog?

I used the Canidae Platinum for a long time with Missy with good results. I had fed California Natural at one point before that. I fed a cup to a cup and a 1/4 2x day. Weight was always an issue with Missy, with her thyroid, etc. Lowest I had her was at 89 pounds. When I decided I really needed to pull a little more weight off, I used Evo Reduced Fat (no grain) which did work. But if weight is not an issue for your girl, I think the Platinum is fine.

Layna, thanks for your help. No other suggestions for a "mature" female? Her grey muzzle even makes her look distinguished...and with Amber, that takes some doing!
