Smile Rachael Ray's Dog Food??

So I just got back from Walmart, and in the center of the aisle was a display of "Nutrish" (I think was the name) Dog food. It was a small bag (didn't check the weight), for $15 bucks...

I can't find anything on it online...anyone else heard/seen of this??

Re: Rachael Ray's Dog Food??

Well I don't know TOO much about dog food, but it was certainly much better than the other crap. Didn;t have any corn, and half way through the list were carrots, and different veggies...

Also the first 2 ingredients were a mean and a meal, and then the next two where rice and the 5th was soybean meal maybe?? Can't remember what..just remember it was soybean something. LOL

Re: Rachael Ray's Dog Food??

And I really do like Rachael Ray, theye was a HUGE pic of her and her dog (who is a pit) and all sorts of things about rescuing animals :)

I know a few months back she even did a show strickly for cooking for your dog! You just really can't NOT love the gal.

Re: Rachael Ray's Dog Food??

Okay, so I finally went back to Walmart and It IS called Nutrish and the company is actually Ainsworth Pet Nutrition.

The first ingredients are:
Beef
chicken meal
brewers rice
corn meal
soybean meal

So....I guess I was wrong...it does indeed have corn. DARN IT! I was hoping her putting her name on something would maybe teach folks what is healthy and what isn't for dogs...guess not :(

Re: Rachael Ray's Dog Food??

Just because it has Rachel Ray's name on it doesn't make it nutritional and healthy. That's like saying Paula Dean cooks healthy!!

Just another way to make more millions for her and the company. She's a great marketing tool. It wouldn't hurt to write to her and explain that she would be the "dog's woof" if she put her face on something that was really healthy for their pets. She then could REALLY call her food Nutrish!!!
