You've received great advice. The key is to definitely feed as big as you can. A quarter chicken should be the smallest piece you feed.

I'm working Casino up to once a day feeding, so his evening meal is getting larger. He really likes the larger, more complicated meals, and that means more of a workout for his pearly whites!

No, dogs in the wild eat raw meat and live just fine.
Do a google search on 'canine raw diet' or BARF diet ....it should answer all of your questions.

If you eat meat, are you worried about salmonella in the meat you buy and prepare?

There's even less to be concerned about where raw and dogs are concerned since dogs have a very short digestive tract and their stomachs are highly acidic.

Yep, they do just fine. Dogs digestive track assimilates raw meat much better than the cooked stuff in commercial food. Plus they love it so much more than anything else. You would think you were feeding them chocolate cake and ice cream
