| Abady Hi, my name is Chris. I am new to the board and would like to know what you guys thought the dogfood called, Abady? I heard good things but just wanted more opinion from rottie owners that have used it. Thanks in advance! Chris |

| Welcome to the forums. ![]() From what I have read and heard, Abady is WAY overpriced and kind of has a cult like following. You either love the company and swear by the food, or stay far away from it. It's not sold in retail stores. The ingredients are not all that great...but the company thinks they are, and I guess people are willing to pay for this food...the company must be selling it? There are many better foods on the market using better ingredients, and selling for a much better price. A raw prepared diet costs less then Abady, and the ingredients would be much better. The Abady philosophy is that their food is the only good food, and the rest is junk. ![]() They do not even list the ingredients of their food on the website....because it's a big secret. ![]() Gina

| Re: Abady Thanks for the input Gina! Actually, I was on their website yesterday and it does have every ingredient listed. I have used it before for one box. I liked it but my 2 show pups were poisoned by the people living next to a couple of years ago. I have from the area all together and think I am ready for another one. It is hard to replace the best in your own eyes. I have tried Innova, very good food, Canidae, decent food and Eukanuba, same category as Canidae as far as results not health. Abady was expensive but a 48lb box lasted 2 100lb rottie pups almost a month and a half. They put on good weight not fat. I just want to my diet together for my next pup. I do appreciate all comments! Thanks! Chris |

| Yes...you are right the "secret" ingredients are now finally posted on the website. For years they would not post what was in their food. ![]() I don't really blame them....chicken by-product meal is the first ingredient, followed by rice in their maintenence food...they also use LARD...that's how they get the calorie count way up. Honestly, not a food I would feed to my dogs. If I spent all that money, it would be on a prepared raw food. IMO opinion there are better foods out there...Orijen would be my first choice. Innova and California Natural would be my second. How much did you pay for the 48 lb box? When I look for a food, the ingredients are the most important thing...followed by price...if the ingredients are not worth it..I will not pay. Gina
