Does anyone here vacuum there pup/dog?

I'm just curious. I own a Kirby Sentria and I just remembered today that the salesperson said one of the attachments could be used to give a dog a massage all while collecting hair. I thought I might try it, but wanted to see if others have tried it too. I hope I don't sound too ridiculous...

Re: Does anyone here vacuum there pup/dog?

Rommel LOVED being vacuumed! He made it difficult to vacuum the house as he would constantly walk in front of it and sit so I would take the hint! Buddy on the other hand hates the vacuum although I am trying to get him accustomed to it. I didn't have a special attachment, Rommel didn't care how he was vacuumed, as long as he was.

That's just too funny. Marli isn't afraid of the vacuum. When it's on she goes by and sniffs it and then follows me around. When it's off she tries to play with it. Roscoe my nottweiler, on the other hand will run out of the room to the nearest hiding place and only come back when the vacuum is off. It's actually sort of hilarious. I'm not going to even attempt to vac him. I'm not sure how Marli is going to take having the hose to her though. I'm going to try it out tomorrow and see how it goes.

When we get out next pup next year - I'm definitely going to try and get him acclimated to the vacuum! Much faster and easier than using the shedding comb!

Well, I got around to trying it on Marli! It took a minute to get her to settle down because she wanted to lick and sniff the hose, but once I got going she loved it! She looks so good now.

I've always vacuumed my dogs. Took them a couple tries to get used to it, but they really enjoyed it after that. Get that hair at the source!

My dogs seem to really enjoy being vacuumed. They come and lay down in front of the vacuum and stretch out to enjoy the grooming session.

Dodge loves to be vacuumed. Our latest came with a pet brush, to use on the carpet I assume, but he thinks it's for his enjoyment.
When we're done he likes us to take off the attachment so he can "suck" on the hose.
What a big goofball.
Starting the vacuum cleaner brings him running.

I use a high velocity dryer to blow out spring undercoat :) I have played around with my dogs and vacuumed their backs for fun and they enjoyed it. Having Newfoundland dogs it's automatic for us to keep a high velocity at the house so I use that and the furminator on my Rottweiler.
