| Problem with Evo On April 5th I purchased a big bag of Evo in South Jersey. I have been feeding Evo large bites for quite sometime. I started feeding this bag to the dogs and they ate it at first - then didn't want to eat. They got diarraha - didn't know what was going on. My daughter was babysitting the dogs and looked at the food - there were filaments coming out of the food - they were clumped up in the pellets and sharp - like what you would see if plastic collars were mixed in with the food. This was all through the bag. I returned it to the store - there was no Lot number or expiration date on the bag. The owner checked his records - this was an oddity. They returned the bag and refunded my money and offer to pay an medical bills. Luckly that was not necessary. I switched to California Natural and the dogs are better. Did anyone else have a problem? If not, please check if you feed Evo. I was shocked to find this in a premium food.

| Re: Problem with Evo Thanks for the head's up. I'll take a look. I just switched mine back to Evo, but I feed them the small bites. I tried the large bites awhile back, but mine didn't like them very much. They also didn't do very well on the large bites.

| Re: Problem with Evo I use original small bites (chicken) I tried large bites once and the dogs hated it my dogs eat ANYTHING so that was odd Tried the pups (we mix Evo with healthwise puppy) on EVO red meat and they got horrible diarrhea. back on the small bites and no problems food looks like it usually does A bag with no lot or expiration info would send up a large red flag almost like a worker swiped a bad and filled with tampered product or whatever... Make sure the store contacts Natura Pet directly. Hopefully they saved some of the food and the bag

| Re: Problem with Evo Hopefully you can get information from the bag. The plant that makes Evo is local to me. Here's their phone number. (402) 727-2520 |

| Re: Problem with Evo Wow! This thread is very interesting in that both my dogs refused to eat the large bite Evo, but have no trouble eating the small bites. I was assured by the store I purchased it from that the formulation of the large bites was exactly like the small bites, but was just made into larger pieces. Hmmm, if that's true, it seems strange that so many different dogs liked the small bites better. |
