Wink Keeping Rottis Nice and Clean

I know that many people on the board don't give their dog a bath too often so they can avoid dry skin.

But how often are most of you giving your dog a bath?

and,

In between the baths, what are you all doing to keep the dogs smelling nice and clean?

Just looking for some tips. Also with winter being gone (keeping fingers crossed.....u never know), is it okay to increase the number of baths for the little guys?

Thanks!

There was just a poll about this... Look under social events, then polls, and there should be one about bathing. It has ton's of peoples responses to your exact question. Hope it helps!!! I only give my Beau a bath if he get's in something dirty.

Re: Keeping Rottis Nice and Clean

I live in Tucson, very hot, dry, and dusty so my 2 babies get REALLY dirty every day when they wrassle in the back yard. Probably monthly I'll bathe them with a dog shampoo but every couple of days in between I get the hose out in the evening and give them a quick 'no-soap' bath. They get a good cool soaking and then they we play in the water, it cools them off and it's just a blast! Later I get out a brush and do some light grooming ,their coats are beautiful and they smell great just as if I had used shampoo.
