| Dog Food Preferences Hello, I would like some input on what would be a brand of dog food for my 7 month old Rottie. I had him on Nutros for the past few months, but that seemed to upset his system a bit so he was recently switched to Pedigree. He seems to like it enough and it appears to agree with him, but my main concern is feeding him what's healthiest for him. I know a lot of negative additives are often put into dog food. I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance. |

| Pedigree is a poor quality food. It's a grain based food containing ingredients such as corn, corn meal, and more CORN, and by-product meal. I suggest you look at the ingredients of the food before you buy it. Try to find a food that contains human grade meat, and uses few grains and no by-products.Do some reading on past threads....food suggestions are mentioned here all of the time. Foods that are often mentioned here are: Innova, Canidae, Wellness, California Natural, Natural Balance, Eagle Pack Holistic, etc. Some of the foods that do not contain any grains are EVO, Wellness Core and Orijen. Do a google search on any of these foods, and you will find their websites with store locators....most of these foods are not sold at big box stores...most often found in smaller private pet boutiques or feed stores, etc. Nutro has a line of food called Nutro Ultra...it's a fairly good food...using better ingredients than any of the Nutro Natural lines.
