Canidae Problem?

I know people have had a concern Canidae recently... Vegas had been fine on it until this bag, but all of the sudden she's EXTREMELY gassy and has a lot of eye boogers. Also, her coat is still shiny, but its also flaky? She would get a little bit flaky in the winter because its dry, but now that its warming up, there's more humidity in the air. Last, her stools have been weird. One time they'll be very hard and small, and the next will be very loose and soft.

The other day, she went right before we left for class and it was very hard and hardley anything there (its a morning class, so we don't feed her before we go), then we got to class and about half way through, she started trying to poop in class! I caught it and ran her outside to go, and it was VERY soft and A LOT of it.

I don't want to bash Canidae if it could be something else, but nothing else has changed.

I'm switching to Timberwolf Organics, which seems to be a good food from what I've researched.

My question is, should I slowly switch her over? Or get her off of this food immediately? I don't want to upset her stomach from a quick switch, but if this food isn't agreeing with her, she can't feel very good.

Thanks in advance for your imput.

Re: Canidae Problem?

It sounds as if your dog picked up a bug from somewhere. I don't think it has anything to do with the food, but I could be wrong. But with your dog having eye discharge and diarrhea it sounds as if she maybe actually sick. Also is anyone else sick in your dog class or have you taken her to the vet or other places lately (in last 2 weeks).

Re: Canidae Problem?

No one in class has been sick, but that doesn't mean that someone in another class wasn't. Usually they're VERY good about telling us if there's a problem, but I guess it could've gone unreported.

We haven't been anywhere else except for just around the neighborhood.

I'll call the vet tomorrow to see if I can get her in this week. If she doesn't have a bug, I'll go from there. Thank you!
