Need another source for Ester-C powder.

I always supplement with Ester-C powder. Normally I buy it in a 1 pound jar from "The Vitamin Shoppe" (chain). Now they say a different company owns the rights to it, and they still carry it from the new company, but it's about twice as much for a smaller jar now. Anybody else have a good source?

Just go to any health food store and you can buy it. I use tablets, not powder...throw it in the food, and she eats it.

Re: Need another source for Ester-C powder.

Sorry, should have explained myself better. I know there are other sources, but most health food stores charged more than "The Vitamin Shoppe" chain, and I definitely want powder, not pills. I'm looking for the best price for Ester-C powder. Thanks.

Without knowing the price comparison not sure if this is cheaper or more expensive.

Talking Re: Need another source for Ester-C powder.

Why is powder better than pills? Why does it have to be sold for dogs?
Just wondering? I have found (around here at least) anything that is sold for dogs, often costs twice as much. Things found at the health food store are cheaper (usually 'cause they sell more). I would imagine Ester-C is the same???

Re: Need another source for Ester-C powder.

It has to be powder. I like the convenience of powder. Don't care whether it's recommended for people or dogs. I like the powder, just looking for a good price. I think it was around 24 bucks for the 1-pound jar initially at "The Vitamin Shoppe".

Re: Need another source for Ester-C powder.

Can you take the pills and crush them? Don't know if that is convenient. I buy Ester C in chewable form, orange flavor, I take one the dog takes one. And all is good, They crunch them up as a treat or eat them in their food. Why is powder more convenient?

Re: Need another source for Ester-C powder.

Skip - I buy it in Canada at the Nutrition House - not sure if there is a chain in the US - but after reading your post I think I'm paying an arm and a leg. There is a site called iHerb.com - Vitamins, Supplements & Natural Health Products that seems to have a really good price but they are out of stock. Might be worth keeping an eye on - if you find a better deal can you post?
Thanks
Dana
