She's talking about the raw prey model.

This is the method by which I feed my dogs and our foster.

No fruits, no veggies, but a wide variety of raw meats, raw meaty bones, organs, tripe, fish.

I don't supplement. After all, supplements imply the diet isn't balanced in the first place, so why not balance the actual food the dog is being fed rather than apply the band aide of supplements?

I didn't find this to be true.

Our foster was the reason I moved to feeding raw. On the recommendation of my vet, by the way!

The raw our dogs ate was so big they HAD to chew.

Kibble fed dogs can learn to chew raw just fine.

Re: Raw Diet

I started this thread specifically with questions about the raw prey model diet somewhere along the way it turned into a discussion about BARF and pre-packaged raw. I have been feeding according to the raw prey model since March 1 and I am delighted with the choice. My dog was healthy to begin with and was always fed a super-premium kibble. He never ate kibble with gusto and would easily skip several meals every week. He has not skipped one single meal since starting raw-I don't plan to ever feed a full kibble diet again.
