14 Week old Is Natures Variety Prairie Dry Kibble acceptable for a dog of this age. I made sher that the protein and fats were below 30% and 20% respectively. Other than that I have no clue about food. I read on here a bunch but I know in the future I am gonna feed him Natures Variety Instinct. Right now he is on the Venison kibble, we transitioned from the Lamb and oatmeal. He is at a good weight, 36lbs at 14 weeks. Poops are good, not runny. So is this a good choice, it came breeder recommended. Thanks Peter P.S. The breeder pushed the Raw diet but this is something we didnt feel like we wanted to dive into. We tried for the first two weeks and didnt like how he became so aggressive with the chicken necks and leg quarters, also he was swallowing more than chewing. Maybe in the future but for now no.

Re: 14 Week old I think the Natures Variety is a very good food. If he thinks someone is going to take his food, he may decide he needs to eat too fast and protect his meal. this isn't good with any food at any age. He will learn to trust you around his food a lot faster if you leave him alone to eat.

Re: 14 Week old with the natures variety, i can stick my hand in there and not get a growl. He takes his time and chews his food. I used to hand feed him a few kibbles at a time when we first started. The only time he showed any aggression was with the real raw meat and bones. Thanks Peter

Re: 14 Week old I feed Nature's Variety kibble, but I also add their raw medallions to it. I had warm water and make them a little stew out of it. They love it!
