Orijen Food

Hello,

Does anybody feed Orijen dry kibble?

We started on BARF (he was weaned by breeder onto BARF), but had to combine with some kibble after his second vaccination which left him less tolerant to a purely BARF diet.

He's doing OK with a combination of Royal Canin and BARF, but his coat is a little greasy and his stools soft and squidgy.

I was thinking of trying Orijen large puppy or adult, or perhaps using a mixer only instead. The trouble is most mixers are just grain/cereals, unless anyone knows of one which is mainly fruit and veg?

We would like to try Canidae or Innova Evo, but can't get them in the UK.

Anyway, any feedback/thoughts on Orijen would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Cool Re: Orijen Food

Orijen is a very nice food. I've been feeding it to my two dogs for the last 6 weeks or so? It's 70% meat and 30 % veggies.

Great ingredients...and a very good company to deal with. It's also a Canadian made food, with Canadian meats, etc.

The dogs have done well on it...though they have always been eating a good diet...a combination of BARF, homecooked and other good kibbles such as Innova, etc.

Re: Orijen Food

Thank you Brunie's Mom - much appreciated. I hadn't come across it on the Board before and wanted to know if other people had experience of feeding it with good results.

I tried him on the large puppy trial size bag which he ate combined with Royal Canin without any problems. So will now replace Royal Canin, with Orijen alongside BARF. Not sure whether to go with large puppy, or adult. He's just hit 7months.

Thanks again!
