Re: Blue Buffalo Please Take A Look...

My dogs got Blue Buffalo for a bit, then I switched them to Canidae. I didn't see any problems while they were on it and they liked it. Here, at least, the Blue Buffalo was more expensive than the Canidae, and didn't last quite as long, so I switched to Canidae.

Re: Blue Buffalo Please Take A Look...

I tired all of the big names, evo, candiae etc. My dog would not eat any of them nor did she really flourish on any of them. It took me 2 years to find a food that she liked and it was Blue Buffalo. She finally bulked up and her coat is absolutely great and she is outside alot. The ingredients are great and there is no corn or millet. My dog had hot spots in the past from other food allergies, but not now. It is easy to find to, it is actually at PetsMart.

This food was on the recall list.
E-mail the company and make sure their problems have been solved.

Re: Blue Buffalo Please Take A Look...

I home cook for Lola so I can't say I've tried it on her but the June issue of Oprah magazine has a two page ad that features web sites that tell all about the food and the cancer research for dogs that this company is into. If Lola did eat any dog food at all, I would choose this for her. No animal by-products, full of antooxidants, no corn wheat or soy, veggies and fruit. Yum!!

Re: Blue Buffalo Please Take A Look...

I just switched Emma over to Blue Buffalo and she loves it. None of the other brands mentioned on this site are available in my area, and this was the only one that did not contain corn. Emma has had problems with loose poops which seemed to contain a lot of yellow in them. I just took a guess and figured this might be undigested corn. We will see how things go, but this is the first dry food she has really liked this well. The thing I noticed first when I opened the bag is that it actually smells good compared to some of the other stuff that smells like it has already gone through the dog.

Did you see the post from brunie's mom that said this was one of the foods on the recall list? I certainly would not be feeding it until I KNEW for certain that the problems had been cleared up.
