Thinning Hair???

Shyla is almost 5 1/2 months. Her coat is beautiful and shiny and she barely sheds. However I feel that her coat is thinner than usual.
Is is normal for the area where her arms rub against her chest to be thin? Maybe because it's a high traffic area or something.
Also when her forehead scrunches up you can see the light color of her scalp.
I've heard of house remedies like egg yolks but I don't know if there is even a problem.

This has been bothering me for a while so I'd appreciate any help.

Re: Thinning Hair???

5.5 months, shouldn't your puppy be blowing its puppy coat? Maybe thats all that is happening.

My boy has a short sleek coat, very little undercoat. You can see his skin on his underside, under his arms. It may just be his genetics, what are his parents like?

Re: Thinning Hair???

I've never seen her parents. I kind of rescued her from a clueless breeder (ex-coworker)
It doesn't look unhealthy or anything it's just things that I notice because I want the best for her.

She probably is just losing her puppy coat. Thanks!

Re: Thinning Hair???

I noticed this with Serena around 5 months. Within the next 6 weeks, her adult coat came in and the thinning went away. So hopefully, that is all it is.
