Innova Red Meat?

Oscar eats majority Canidae, has since he was a pup and does very well on it. Once every few months I will mix it up with a bag of Innova (green bag) to change it up a bit for him. I've noticed they have a new "Red meat" formula out. I'm wondering #1. if anyone's tried this and what they thought of it and #2. would a straight switch from Canidae to the red meat Innova be likely to upset his stomach?
I find usually with these high ends foods you can switch between without weaning.

Any input? Thanks!
Julie

Re: Innova Red Meat?

I have used it for about 2 months. I think it is a fine food. My dogs will have soft stool if my husband gives them too much in their bowl (we have difference of opinion on proper amount to feed the dogs ). I don't recall the dogs having difficulties with the change, but my dogs don't have sensitive stomachs.

Re: Innova Red Meat?

I hear you on the husband not agreeing on food quantity. Oscar gets a tad more excited when my hubby feeds him then when I do...wonder why! LOL!!

Oscar doesn't have a sensitive stomach so I'm going to give it a try for sure. I like to switch his food up every few months for a change. Figure if there's something he's not getting in Canidae, he'll get it from Innova. Both are excellent.

The ingredients look really good!
I must see if our local petfood store can order it in. The problem being with EVO food is that it is REALLY EXPENSIVE in Canada. I think I paid over $60.+ tax for a 13.5 kg bag. That's over $2.00 a lb for the food.

I may splurge and add it to our food rotation for a change of proteins.

I've been using it for Casey the last 2-3 months. She seems to do well on it. So far it is the only food we've tried that hasn't given her eye boogers.

Yeah it sure is expensive here in Canada! Holy cow! I went to buy it tonight and left with a bag of Canidae. I pay $52 cdn. for a 40 lb. bag of the Canidae and the smaller 28 lb. bag of EVO is $59!!! That's a big difference!!
I think I'll stick to my Canidae and throw in a bag of the EVO every 3-4 months.

Re: Innova Red Meat?

I've been using RM Evo for a couple weeks now. The bag was 58 dollars though! I haven't yet noticed much of a difference between that and Canidae, although I had to decrease his total daily feeding by about 1/2cup to 3/4 cup.
