| soaking dry food I have a 10 week old pup and I am not sure whether I should still be soaking her dry food in water to soften it a little for her or if just leaving it dry is ok. any help would be great. Also not sure exactly how much food she should be eating each day. Thanks so much! |

| Re: soaking dry food I just got a new rottweiler a few months ago and the breeder told me to keep soaking her kibble for about five mins before I gave it to her for a while yet. I personally stopped when she was about three months old. In my opinion It is better for their teeth for them to have hard food. In the wild would they have soft food to eat???? No, they would mainly be ripping at flesh and knawing on bones. Thats just they way I look at it. The amount of food would totally depend on how much, and what she was fed with the breeder previously. Maybe post what food you are feeding. There should be guide lines on the side of the bag. |
