Eagle Pack Feedback

Ok, looking for feedback on what you guys think of the Eagle Pack food. I'm specifically looking at the Eagle Pack Power formula to give a pregnant bitch a bit more healthy protein and fat during her pregnancy.

Eagle Pack Pet Foods Holistic All-Natural Pet Foods

Thanks in advance!

Re: Eagle Pack Feedback

We were feeding power to a couple of the skinny dogs at the kuvasz kennel. They did put on alot of healthy weight. We liked the results.

I fed Angus Eagle Pack Holistic for about a week and he really loved it, but it made his breath smell terrible. Our whole house smelled like nasty dog breath.

Re: Eagle Pack Feedback

Hey, Sharon, I actually ended up feeding EP Power to Ilsa, along with some homemade stuff, when she was receiving chemotherapy and losing a lot of weight from prednisone. For whatever reason, she didn't handle EVO well, but she did well on EP Power and was able to regain some muscle tone. From that experience, I would think that it would also support a pregnant bitch nicely.

Another food that you might want to check out is Healthwise Active. It is also 30% protein 20% fat with a pretty simple ingredient list.

Re: Eagle Pack Feedback

Eagle make 2 lines of food, the holistic and the regular stuff. The holistic is very good food, the regular stuff has a lot of corn!

I fed Raelin EP for nearly a year (the holstic chicken), it was about the only food that her sensitive stomach could tolerate. I think that the holistic is a good line of foods. JMHO

Re: Eagle Pack Feedback

I feed my 15 month old female, Eagle Pack (Holistic Chicken) after getting a bad ear infection from Eukanuba (SP???). She has done great on the EP Chicken, no more problems with the ears and people comment on how shiney her coat is. I would recommend trying it, but like any high quality dog food what works on one do might not always work on another dog.

Re: Eagle Pack Feedback

Hello Sharon! I cannot offer any comments about the EP, however, I pulled this 'out of the hat' for you; an informative newsletter from Lew Olson on Nutrition and Pregnancy. B-Naturals
I hope the article will be of some help.
Best wishes-
kathy
