Bones or Not

Hi I would be grateful for some advice re bones, should they be given to Rotties, if so whcih ones are safe and which ones should be avoided at all costs. Mine get's the odd big old marrow bone.knuckle to gnaw on every now and then but I have avoided everything else in fear of causing him harm and me costly vets bills.

I give our girls raw beef marrow bones bought at the grocery store. The bones are 4"-5"-6" long. My girls are nuts for the marrow plug. I've read that the marrow, being very rich, can cause upset stomachs, but both our dogs with their cast-iron stomachs have never had a problem. I stock up on the bones on Sat and put them in the freezer to be doled out over the week. I ususally don't thaw them, but give them to the dog straight from the freezer.

I do the same thing, I will go to Publix meat department, purchase 4 good size marrow bones and keep them in the freezer. I also do not thaw them out. Sade and Kobe love them frozen. Also never had a problem with upset stomach.
