| Re: What should the correct weight be for a 11month old bitch It depends on the genetics of the dog. An average female weights between 70 and 90 pounds - some are a little larger. My female maintained her weight at about 75 pounds at was 80 pounds at her heaviest, but did not reach this until about 4 years old. I would guess that at 11 months old, she should be between 60 and 70 pounds, but again, I'm not an expert. There are growth charts online, but most seem to suggest that at 11 months a female should be over 80 pounds. I'm not sure, but I think this is a little large. |

| Re: What should the correct weight be for a 11month old bitch Good rule of thumb is to have her sit and look at her waist and hips. Anything poking out from her waist or hanging over her hips is fat. We try to keep fat off of puppies. |

| An 11 month old pup is done with most of the major growth in height. She will probably fill out some more for the next year or so. It really is hard to tell what she should weigh? depends on her sire and dam? We're they the standard size for a Rottweiler?? I would think around 70-80 lbs. Bitches should not be huge or heavy. As far as feeding Hills food...in North America...Hill's is not considered a good quality food. Many vet's push it...but the ingredients are mediocre and the price is high.I would not be feeding a Large Breed forumla..full of grain and very little meat. Add your own glucosamine/chondroitin and feed a better quality food if you can. Gina
