| It's a popular feed, except I am not a big fan. You pay too much for what your getting. First thing, their under 400 cal/cup. Secondly, and most importantly thier food is baked, which kills nutrients (vitamins esp). They've got great marketing though!

| I fed Toby Wellness Fish and Potato for years and he loved it. I liked the fact that it was low fat/calorie and I liked the fact he was eating fish rather than other meats. It also did wonders for his colitis. |

| The white fish and potatoes was what I was feeding. I Love the food. I will feed it again in six months. Twice a year I change my dog's food. Between fish and lamb. The only thing I do not like about wellness is it's price and I have 3 rott'n ones ![]() |

| I used to use Wellness chicken or lamb regular adult food as a substitute when my regular supplier was out of Canidae. Both of my rotties did well on it and liked it. There were no digestive upsets, gas, etc.

| Wellness is the only food I've found that agrees with all three dogs. Bo had skin problems and my Vet had him on meds. He improved some on Innova, but still not normal. Betsy couldn't eat the Innova -- she was gassy and soft stools. Then when I picked up Baggins, the breeder was feeding Wellness. I figured that it was worth a try, and everyone is happy. Bo's skin is normal, off meds and his fur is all grown. Betsy's doesn't have gas (hooray). And I only have to stock one kind of food.

| I have found the opposite. My dogs got terrible gas on Wellness. I tried it 2-3 different times...buying different flavours and none of them ever did well on it. I find the food is heavier on grains then most other super premium foods..this could also be the reason that my dogs were so gassy. I have also read on other dog forums that owner's that feed Wellness, complain about their dogs getting grungy teeth very quickly. The food seems to stick on the teeth and plaque tends to build up. Mine were not on it long enough for me to notice. I guess it depends on the dog?? If your dog does well on it, keep feeding it. Gina

| I feed Wellness Super5Mix (chicken) and I think Bailey does well on it. It's a little expensive, but I rotate foods so Bailey gets a bag of Wellness about every other bag of food he eats. He seems to enjoy it. We're pretty lazy around here, and it's lower cal so he can eat more without getting fat or having to eat a bunch of junk (i.e. corn). I like that it isn't greasy like other foods (I guess because it's baked) and has barely any smell. Since it isn't greasy, I don't mind sticking my hand in the bag to pull out some bites to use as treats or to put in his kong. Most foods I don't like to touch. Ha, that's not a good reason to feed a particular brand...but it's a perk I guess. |

| ???? THe first ingredient should be a protein "meal". #2,#3, #4, (#7 & #8) ingredients are ALL grains!! No wonder its baked. The only benefit to baking food is better absorption of starches and grains. WHo would want that? And in doing that, essential nutrients are destroyed. ITs nice that it has apples, blueberries, sweet potatoes, but what good are those ingredients if there arent any vitamins left after baking for your dog to utilize? Why do you think the food is fortified with vitamins?

| I like their puppy formula, but do not use their adult formulas (too much grain).

| I gave wellness a try for about 2 weeks, then switched to Eagle Holistic. Raelin has always had very soft BM's, and on wellness they were just water! And the gas was awefull. Just my experience here that all, I guess I just have a dog with a sensitive somach.

| LOL Then what is the information the claims you are making based on? At what temperature DOES baking destroy the nutrients in food? When we bake foods in our ovens at home are the nutrients destroyed? Why not? Perhaps some more checking and verification is in order before you make such claims in a widely read public venue. Quote:
