It would be way down at the bottom of the list.
Ingredients:

Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal, brewers rice, soybean meal, beef tallow preserved with mixed-tocopherols (source of Vitamin E), pearled barley, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, animal digest, salt, egg product, potassium chloride, L-Lysine monohydrochloride, zinc proteinate, choline chloride, DL-Methionine, vitamin supplements (E, A, B 12, D 3), manganese proteinate, ferrous sulfate, copper proteinate, added color (Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 2), niacin, brewers dried yeast, calcium pantothenate, garlic oil, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin supplement, calcium iodate, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), folic acid, biotin, sodium selenite.

YUCK!!!!!
Purina Puppy Chow compared to Innova or Canidae is like comparing a rice cake to a steak....there is no comparison.

Pups on Purina must eat so much because the food has very little meat and is mostly grain. May as well go to the farm feed store and buy a bag of grain and feed it to the pup.

With the super premium foods you feed much less food and the pup utilizes most of it...these means far fewer bowel movements to clean up. A good food costs more, but you will need to buy 3 bags of Purina for every one bag of the super premium food.
Your pup will have a better coat, more energy and will have better muscle development...if you change to a better food.

I agree. I like Canidae, or Innova . . . my Arwen would be on them if she weren't on a prescription diet. I've always tried to stay away from foods with corn or wheat in the first 10 ingredients.

There is a great web site that has so much info about nutrition and what goes into our dogs food.

My Nico passed from cancer and I was determined to change a few things with my new pup Santo. Between talking with people on the forum and researching I decided on Canadei, and also beef in the morn chiken added at night. Anyway the web-site is Caninesincrisis.com go under the nutrition link and you will be amazed at what is getting into our pets!

There is little of value in such a food. There are MANY threads in this forum discussing food choices for puppies, including the old debate "puppy food vs. adult food" for puppies. Spend some time searching the archives, you'll find plenty to keep you busy!
