| puppy dandruff Hi, my puppy is 11 weeks old. My uncle and I bathed her with some all natural oatmeal shampoo in lukewarm water, but she has dandruff.... what might be the cause for this ? and what are some ways to fix it... she is currently on Nutro puppy for large breed. |

| It could be from the bath. How often are you bathing her?? It also could be the food?? Nutro is not a bad food, but you could try a better quality food and her coat may improve. Many of the members here feed their pups/adults Innova, Canidae, Wellness, California Natural, etc. These foods contain more meat and less grains. Also I think the Large Breed Puppy Nutro is full of corn...this often causes itchies at well as dandruff. Gina

| I dont really bath her that often... because she doesn't ever smell or get too dirty...I was told to only bath them when really neccessary (real dirty)... I thought Nutro was the best, so I got her that... I noticed that a lot of people on the forums said that Innova caused loose stools.... what would you say is the best? I've heard really good things about Canidae... i guess this goes back to the topic of... what the best food is for my puppy |
