| Vomiting... Hello Everyone. I have a 5 mth. old, male rottie. About once or twice a week, he will vomit late at night. I know that he occasionaly eats grass...which we try to watch and stop him when we can....I called the vet and they said to bring him in for some blood tests. Have any of you had this problem...I dont know if its just a puppy thing or some thing more serious....??? |

| Re: Vomiting... How late is his last meal? Many dogs will vomit if their stomach is too empty for too long. But taking him to the vet to rule out anything more serious is a good idea.

| Re: Vomiting... About 6 pm -7 pm, depending when I get home. After a couple hours we go for a walk and then he takes a rest...then later he throws up and its mostly undigested food. I have realized though that he eats and drinks really fast...maybe its that....I dont know? |

It could be something as simple as not giving him immediate access to the water bowl when you get back from your nightly exercise. Then when you do, just give him a fair amount and remove the bowl. After a bit, give him the bowl again. Works for me. |

| Re: Vomiting... SonnyRott: Thank you...Have you ever had a problem with this? The only reason why I think its not because he has an illness is because he acts normal, still very chipper, even right after he gets sick. Maybe I a wrong, but I guess I will see. I am feeding him Eukanuba...has anyone had problems with this food? Does anyone have suggestions for food. I will probably stay on this food for awhile...I just wanted to know your thoughts. |

| Re: Vomiting... Yes, we have had problems with this. No big deal though. He was just gulping down water way too fast and way too much all at once. Also, we do not do any rigorous exercise 2 hours before or two hours after a meal. And no car rides right after a meal either. Still, on ocassion, if he drinks too fast and too much I can expect to hear a "spit up" going down within 45 seconds. And if there happens to be some undigested food in his tummy, thats coming up too! |

| Re: Vomiting... eukanuba is what i fed my pup till 4 weeks ago then i sourced eagle holistic dog food and he is flying, his coat looks shinier and he scoffs his food with a relish i never seen wth eukanuba. If u do a search u will find many peeps saying eukanuba is not all that. Then again many peeps will probably say otherwise. All i know is eagle holistic seems to be doing the job with my dog. Also my dog used 2 puke occasionally when ever i gave him a stick chew. So now i dont give him any of these. So check yer treat box and see if yer treats are making dog puke. It is amazing what crap they put in these things. |

| Re: Vomiting... Do you find anything else besides undigested food? My little guy can't do bone peices. So every so often, he will puke undigested bone peices. I give him raw meaty bones for chews, but maybe I gotta find bigger bones? Anyways, just a thought. You might want to prod around to see if you find anything else.
