I tried it. My foster Rotties didn't seem to mind it. I, on the other hand, couldn't take the smell of the apple cider vinegar -- it was overwhelming. I know people who feed it and swear by it. I also know people who say the quality is inconsistent and they have stopped using it. Sorry I'm not much help!

Thanks for your reply. I'm going to give it a try. I'm going to be mixing it with raw and veggies to balance it out.

I"ve always thought the ingredient list looked good, but just can't quite stomach the price especially for 3 (soon to be 4) mouths.

It's kind of pricey for me too but I only have one mouth to feed. I usually give 4 cups of Canidae a day but I will only be giving 1 1/2 cups of PHD and and 1 1/2 cups raw and veggies. It might not be that much more expensive. I'll have to see how it will work out.

Hey Laura! Have you read any of Volhard's books?

I've never understood why there are so many different grains in this food, particularly when they're suggesting feeding in conjunction with raw. And, it's right pricey for a food with this much grain. I'd be inclined to stay with Canidae for my kibble meal.

Re: Has anybody tried PHD food?

MM,

Just read this, been away for a couple of days. Thanks for your reply.

Someone else had suggested to me to do 1/2 Canidae and 1/2 raw. I think I'm going with that.

I haven't read any of Volhard's books but I will look into them.
