Post Apple Cider Vinegar

I started feeding raw about 3.5 weeks ago. I wanted to start w/ veggies, and I have seen to mix apple cider vinegar with the mixture. After posting on the raw Canada site w/ questions regarding a.c.v. , a fellow member sent me this link http://www.naturallyhealthypet.com/acv.htm . It is very informative. It asnwered all the questions I had. Hopefully, you guys can use this info.

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar

Hi Staci! It's important that the readers here understand this is NOT the
same cider vinegar found in the grocery store aisle. It's got to have "the mother" in there! I use Braggs raw ACV. I keep a 50-50 mix of raw honey and Braggs in a jar, (shake before using), and add 1 TBSP to the meat meal every couple of days.
Best wishes!

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar

What will happen if you use the kind that does not have the "mother" in it?

This is from www.bragg.com.

Quote:
What is the nature of the Mother?

The mother is the dark, cloudy substance in the ACV ú formed from naturally occurring pectin and apple residues - it appears as molecules of protein connected in strand-like chains. The presence of the mother shows that the best part of the apple has not been destroyed. Vinegars containing the mother contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegars may not contain due to overprocessing, filtration and overheating.
So if you use the regular apple cider vinegar without the "mother" you will be missing enzymes & minerals.

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar

I have always just spooned the ACV over their food. So far, they've never picked it out. ACV was recommended for puppy vaginitis as a way to acidify their tract. Should start using it daily..........
