Re: Lets Hear From Everyone

Currently I am the Queen of Combination Feeding!!!!!

We use Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, and Organix kibbles; Canidae, Azmira, Wellness, and Nature's Variety canned; Steve's, Nature's Variety, Farmore and Oma's Pride prepared raw diets; and are throwing in chicken necks, turkey necks, tripe, marrow bones, eggs, etc. on occasion.

It boils down to approx. half dry-and-canned, and half everything else.

Re: Lets Hear From Everyone

The rottie get 3 cups of Innova and a pound or so of whatever raw is going that day; bunny, chicken/turkey/pork/beef or game. And since he's the house dog and always underfoot, lots of treats/leftovers in the kitchen. He gets fed 2x a day.

My 3 BC's get fed up to 3 times a day, depending on their workload. They receive 2 cups of kibble each, oatmeal with eggs in the morning and about a pound of whatever raw is in the freezer. They usually get more fat, too, since they are constantly on the go, so I'll add in fat beef to their oatmeal, or whole milk.

Re: Lets Hear From Everyone

Canidae in the morning, usually raw at night, sometimes Canidae if my schedule doesn't allow time for raw meal prep. Differing amounts for different weights/ages of dogs. (7 year old very active Rott, 3 year old very active Pit, and 4 1/2 mo. old extremely active Rott pup) All dogs get additives of yogurt, canned pumpkin, garlic and yeast tabs and fish oil daily. The 7 year old gets her joint concoction which consists of the fish oil, Vit E, Ester C, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM.

Re: Lets Hear From Everyone

Our two personal girls and our current foster eat Wellness--each gets about 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 cups 2x/day. We rotate between the three forumulations. Rottie rescue provides food, but Argos got a hot spot and that was the end of him eating Nutro.

Re: Lets Hear From Everyone

Squeak gets fed Nutro Natural Large Breed adult. 4 1/2 to 5 cups a day depending on whether i give her Nutro Natural wet food (which is mixed in with her kibble). On a side, sometimes she will get carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, pieces of steak, roast (basically whatever we are eating). She gets an egg 2 times a month, and a little bit of cottage cheese mixed in with her meal once in a while

Next on my grocery list

the whole:
pig
cow

Re: Lets Hear From Everyone

Our pup is being weaned off Eukanuba and we are mixing what is left of his food with GO made by petcurean holistic foods here in the west. He will be on that for a while and then we will slowly switch him to the barf diet.
