Abady New Frontier - low fiber content?

Hi folks. I am thinking about switching Suzy to Abady's New Frontier. She is currently eating Royal Canin's Natural Blend, but I'd like to switch her to something with fewer ingredients due to mild allergy issues. The ingredients in Abady's New Frontier formula are as follows:

Chicken Meal, Rice, Pearled Barley, Beef Fat, Canola Oil, Di-Calcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Sunflower Oil, Whole Dried Egg, Other Vit & Minerals.

Crude Protein - Min. 26%
Crude Fat - Min. 14%
Crude Fiber - Max. 1%
Moisture - Max. 7.5%

My concern is the low fiber content. The other brand I am seriously considering is California Natural (Chicken), which has fiber content between 3% and 4%, a range I see for most other dog foods.

Should I be worried about the low fiber content of Abady? Have any studies been done regarding the appropriate fiber amount in canine diets?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if studies have been done, but if you really want to feed this food and you're worried about fibre, you can always increase fibre in her diet by adding green beans or pumpkin.

You should consider California Natural which is a good kibble for allergy issues.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

I think I'm going to give California Natural a shot instead. I've searched the forum, and it appears that a decent number of people have good things to say about it. (There are fewer comments about Abady).
